With enough notice we are happy to learn that special song for your event. If we can play it; we’ll perform it! River Deep, Mountain High
This is an audience pleasing favourite. The video shows a mix of clips from Soundmagic Studios where the track was recorded and a typical live event. All our recordings are made to be as "Live" as possible, with minimal studio intervention.
Angie loves singing this one and the rest of the band loves to hear her sing it.
A bit of a hidden classic. Everyone knows this (jazz tinged) song but can't remember where they heard it before. Well, it was recorded originally by Classics IV in 1968. One of the most played versions is by The Atlanta Rhyhm Section. It's been heard most recently on a Carlsberg TV ad performed in a sultry style by the late, great, Dusty Springfield. This was also recorded at Soundmagic and the video was shot at Gingers Rehearsal studio at Cheshunt to give a TV studio feel.
Some tasty guitar playing from Colin here. Paul sings this and sounds nothing like Dusty Springfield.
The Beverly Knight hit single. This shows a more funky side to our playing. The photo-montage is constructed from a variety of stills. Listen out for Mike's musical tribute to Noel Redding (JImi Hendrix Experience) in the chorus. Very soulful lead vocals from Angie.
This is the type of material we play at rockier functions and venues. The parts were recorded individually at seven separate sessions, at seven different times, in four different locations. At no point did any two or more of us play together. You be the judge as to how live it sounds, which remained the objective.
The video concept was to create an industrial, claustrophobic feel. Alec's Bono vocal moment in all it's glory, to demonstrate our rockier side along with Colin and Phil giving it some "Edge".
A techical tour de force from Paul who engineered and produced the audio track along with the video and to read how it was made, check out the interview with him
